Our Impact
High Thriving Teams - Good to Great team development
Situation
A team with experienced leaders ‘who have been there done that’ was hitting a plateau in their performance, they were in need of a tune up. They wanted a highly engaging learning experience that took them out of their element was not childish or irrelevant to their current situation.
Our Approach
We designed a learning experience in partnership with the University of New Orleans school of music. Creating a private and custom performance by the Universities Jazz ensemble to allow the leadership team to see ‘behind the curtain’ learning how the ensemble works as a team and has structure in a performance that is ‘messy’. This experience was supported by evidence-based academic research on teams. Fruitful learning dialogue was facilitated to bridge the experience to the business context/situations.
Result
Team dynamics were depersonalized by taking an outside example to examine how the team was functioning. This external example to learn with and from reduced insecurity in each leader creating a psychologically safe environment and increased capacity for change and contributed to a 10th year of surpassing their goals.
"The team coaching session you did on ‘Yes to the Mess’ may be the highlight of workshops I have done in 30 years!"

Organization Change - improving cross-functional collaboration
Situation
A global pharma company with limited cross-functional collaboration needed to bring Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) together on a high profile, new product planning team for product planning activities. Our task was to design a virtual global workshop experience for the divisional SMEs, so that the team could develop a narrative to describe the patient’s experience and integrate the patient perspective in critical product decision moments.
Our Approach
- Conducted data gathering sessions with team members to inform the work space design and dialogue
- Engaged the SMEs in a variety of interactive Collective Navigation™ conversations to create the strategic plan
- Leveraged new technology (VR/web based synchronous collaboration tools) to bridge the virtual workspace gap connecting everyone in the same virtual workroom.
Result
As a result of our work a shared view of the strategy was formed, critical thinking and collaborative discussion occurred across divisions. Diverse and equal involvement was facilitated for this global team with cultural practices and preferences intentionally considered throughout the meeting design.
High Thriving Teams - designing a team reset
Situation
A national team of healthcare educators had experienced 100% team member turnover (voluntary and involuntary) in the last year and were looking to re-establish the way that they worked together. CEO and CHRO wanted to understand what was going on in the team environment that was disrupting the team experience even after toxic members of the team had left and efforts were made internally but didn’t seem to resolve the issue.
Our Approach
- Culture inquiry research interviews with team members 1:1 to understand the individual experiences members are having and the culture and customs of the micro culture that was keeping the negative employee experience in place
- Partner with HR and executive team members to convey the high level story of the team experience to leadership and decide on an approach to support team through a reset
- Help the team re-establish ways of working and improve the quality of connection between members with two of our signature workshops Positive Core & Attunement 1
Result
Realizing the power of high quality connections, the VP noted that at the start of the day of the second workshop, the team was still focused on not having enough time given the quantity of work and deadline expectations and as they connected to each other and built the skills for teaming and connection the conversation shifted to the need to better understand each other and themselves in order to work more efficiently. This realization helped the team find their rhythm and understand when they were and were not attuned to each other. The team’s take away was that they can and will focus on making their own moments for connection and structure self-led team development workshops to continue their growth.
High Thriving Teams - Teams brought together through organization restructure
Situation
Two data governance teams had merged in a recent organization redesign under one leader. That leader who had been leading one of the teams knew that establishing healthy team dynamics even before the work and processes of the team were determined was critical to their success.
Our Approach
- Digital data collection to understand the individual experiences members are having and the culture and customs of the micro culture that was keeping the negative employee experience in place
- Help the team re-establish ways of working and improve the quality of connection between members with our signature Attunement 1 workshop
- Brought awareness to team dynamics occurring in meetings and improved habits of meeting cadence, flow and structure
Result
“Attune Collective facilitated an amazing 2 days with our group leaders. She was able to intuitively get to the heart of challenges facing the team, internally and externally, and help us create practical methods to face these that we have been employing months after the sessions.
Our L&D observers were impressed with the quality of the content and delivery. Psychological safety has become a key topic in the broader organization and with the work Angie facilitated we have been able to pilot and lead the way in the necessary conversations.
Angie walked our newly formed leadership team through a number of deep thinking, discursive and practical exercises that have stuck with the team long after the fact. Taking the time to invest in the team this way has been foundational to building strong and cohesive ways of working.”

Testimonials
"Thank you again for all your help over the last several months - I thought a lot about our conversations in my last weeks at [company name omitted]. The things you coached me on were invaluable during some challenging conversations, and our discussions also helped set me up well for my own "processing" of the change. Thanks again!!"

Angie was a terrific coach in a space that is complex, challenging and ever-changing. She works well with executives and can not only build great long-term plans and interventions but can skillfully facilitate leaders to get the alignment and support needed to put a change into action.

"Having the opportunity to work with Angie as my professional development and leadership coach has been a life altering experience. While it was clear from the first session that Angie is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced working with leaders across many fields, she is also kind, patient and funny. It is those qualities that made this experience truly remarkable and unlike any other. Angie’s ability to listen intently and sift through my thoughts and questions in order to narrow down to the true heart of a matter has in turn made me a better listener and processor in my own right as a leader. She was able to invite perspective, instill confidence and also challenge me to identify specific areas I have been able to grow and mature in significantly in just 6 months of time working together. I went into this experience not knowing what to expect and with a rather narrowed focus of what I hoped to get out of it. Angie was able to offer a coaching interaction that supported me to think of the big picture of my career, think deeply about who I want to be in my work and valuable pathways in which to get there and beyond."
